小海體 XiaoHai — NOTICE

This package contains two fonts. Install both.

1. XiaoHai-Han-*.ttf  (family "XiaoHai")  — Arphic Public License (ARPHICPL.TXT)
   Chinese glyph outlines were regenerated as brush-style strokes from the stroke data of
   Make Me a Hanzi (https://github.com/skishore/makemeahanzi), whose graphics.txt is derived from
   Arphic PL KaitiM GB and Arphic PL UKai (Copyright (C) 1999 Arphic Technology Co., Ltd.).
   The glyph for 海 is traced from the Oceanic Innovation logo.
   Changes: all glyph outlines were redrawn (brush-style strokes with variable width); the font was renamed
   "XiaoHai"; the character set was subset to the 5,033 characters it contains.

2. XiaoHai-Extra-*.ttf  (family "XiaoHai Extra")  — SIL Open Font License 1.1 (OFL.txt)
   Glyph outlines were regenerated as brush-style strokes from the skeletons of
   Noto Serif CJK TC (SIL OFL 1.1, Copyright 2017-2024 Adobe) for punctuation and 369 Chinese
   characters, and Noto Sans CJK (Apache License 2.0, Copyright 2014 Adobe Systems Incorporated,
   see APACHE-2.0.txt) for Latin letters, digits and ASCII punctuation.

The container structure (table layout and metrics) of both files originates from 851 手書き雑フォント,
used under its terms (http://pm85122.onamae.jp/851fontTerm.html); no 851 glyph outlines remain except the .notdef glyph.

The two fonts are independent works distributed together; each is licensed under its own license.
